Our Organization

The Hope Factory is a non-profit Texas corporation, organized exclusively for charitable, religious, and educational purposes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Specifically, The Hope Factory aims to interrupt the cycle of poverty by equipping disadvantaged, orphaned, and other vulnerable children to lead productive lives, realizing their God-ordained gifts and talents, enabling them to give back to their communities.

Since the founding of The Hope Factory, it has been our goal to send 100% of the money given straight to Kenya to meet the needs of our projects there.  We began by serving  a group of precious children in the slums of Nairobi, supporting their school and its teachers. Then, we reopened the Clinic at a Mission in Western Kenya, and completed the Clean Water Project there. We are now involved in developing a self-sustaining community where orphans can grow up in real families, in small homes rather than in an institutional setting.  The “parents” and “grandparents” in each home will teach in the school, work in the clinic, or work on the land to produce food for the community, or other goods to be sold. And our dream of founding the Hope of Africa School of Theology within that same community, Kiwanda Cha Tumaini, became a reality in August 2016.

Basically, we have very minimal administrative costs, as everything is handled by our Board of Directors.  We are happy to report that because of donors who have given directly to those administrative costs, we have been blessed to send 100% of your gifts directly to our projects in Kenya, first to the school in Nairobi, and now to the vision that God has given us for Kiwanda Cha Tumaini.  Praise God for His provision!
