In October 2014, the teachers and families of Kiwanda Cha Tumaini moved from the Tassia Slums of Nairobi to Shikomari, an area in Western Kenya within Kakamega County. We established Kiwanda Cha Tumaini Christian Academy, and after one term, helped establish a second school at Imbale.

Enrollment exceeded our expectations and the two schools now serve over 200 children.

We integrated the required Kenyan curriculum with some excellent books from Veritas Press in order to train our children in the truth, beauty, and goodness of the world that God has created.

Although we are currently leasing buildings for use as our school and clinic, we are trusting God for the resources to build a permanent home for Kiwanda Cha Tumaini, with its school, church, sustainable farm, our dairy cow and chickens, medical center, pharmacy, and The Hope of Africa School of Theology.
